Deja Vu Ideas

Judi Sohn over at Mom at Home asks us "Has it ever happened to you that you take a stand on an issue, and everyone around you thinks that you're nuts? ... And then time passes. Weeks, maybe months. And suddenly someone that you would never expect makes the exact same point that you made."

Judi, I know just what you mean.

But do you ever get tired of it being the same person? I have a friend who does this from time to time. I'll take a position on something, and everyone will act like I'm insane to even think I have a leg to stand on. But my friend listens, and he'll restate my idea nearly word for word.

Everyone then tells him what a good idea he had.

Arrgg! Bloody plagarist!

It's all about timing. Sometimes you have it, and sometimes... ;-)

It's just nice thinking about the fact that the little spark of truth that I saw months ago and no one else noticed turned out to be right-on. For now, that's good enough for me.
