This kind of stuff really annoys the crap out of me. I actually support Bush's attempts to tighten the border. I'm sorry, but I really couldn't care much less if a bunch of people get hurt while attempting to enter our country illegally. If they get shot, too bad for them. They shouldn't be willfully breaking our laws.
And don't give me any of that bleeding heart "they just are looking for opportunities" crap. Maybe if we didn't have so many illegal workers in this country, then the people who are here legally could demand higher pay for those jobs. Or maybe the companies that would otherwise hire illegals would support ways of bringing in the workers we need in a legal fashion.
I just love the men who were interviewed, vowing to make it into our country, to violate our borders and thumb their noses at our laws. Their attitudes just give support to the conservative stance.
