This is me, looking somewhat frumpy but enjoying myself. Taken while I was still building in my garage. Obviously, you can see the jig that is used to constuct the horizontal and vertical stabalizers. The structure is simply made from green treated 4x4s. You want them to be as straight as you can get them, but it isn't critical -- you true everything up assuming it's NOT straight.
As this picture is being taken, I am riveting the very last few rivets of the VS. I am using a rivet squeezer, which looks a little bit like a bolt cutter. This is the preferred method of riveting -- it's fast and very reliable: perfect rivet every time. Or almost perfect almost every time, anyways.
